The UAB-Casa Convalescència building, which forms part of the modernist Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau complex, is the further education and third cycle studies centre of the Universitat Autònoma in Barcelona, and the seat of the UAB Foundation, of the Fundació Doctor Robert, the Fundació Biblioteca Josep Laporte and UAB Idiomes, as well as being an area that extends the offer of facilities, lecture halls and classrooms of the UAB Campus Convention and Congress Centre.

Casa Convalescència offers further-education courses, Masters degrees, seminars and conferences in all areas of knowledge, especially those related to health and life sciences.

It also hires out its facilities for the organisation of conferences, work meetings, seminars and assemblies. Owing to its characteristics, it is an ideal venue for the hosting of all types of activity in sectors related to life and health sciences. The facilities, with a surface area of 6,245 m2 distributed over three floors and below ground level, offer fully equipped classrooms and lecture halls with multimedia technology.
