The Plaça Cívica Service Centre deals with spatial management and promotes the selection of high quality and relevant commercial activity operators so as to cover the needs of the university community.

The Plaça Cívica is the area of the campus where much of the leisure activity at the UAB is concentrated, as well most of the services. In this area there are, among other things, banks, a driving school, travel insurance agencies, bookshops, stationery stores, music shops, photocopy services, computer shops, restaurants, leisure facilities, laminators, gift shops, a hairdressing school, fashion shops, pharmacies and photographers. The University Theatre and Cinema are also located in the Plaça Cívica, as well as associations, the job centre, the information centre and the Student Union building.
