Escola de Prevenció i Seguretat Integral (EPSI), an educational institution linked to the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, is the instrument by which the Fundació per als Estudis de Prevenció i Seguretat Integral (FEPSI) carries out its task, a plan of action based on four basic lines: education and training, technology transfer, business nurseries and research, in a broad sense – private, public and technical management of integral safety applied to production and service processes – and in interaction with fields that are closely linked to environment and industrial quality.
In the training department, EPSI offers the country’s first University Degree in Prevention and General Safety, a three-year course that prepares students to take up highly-specialised jobs within different fields, as for example, Safety Management, Risk Management, Industrial and Environmental Safety, etc.
Besides the country’s only Doctorate Programme in Prevention and Safety, EPSI also offers a wide range of further education programmes.
EPSI has its own research centre (CIPS, Centre d’Investigació en Prevenció i Seguretat) and carries out consultancy projects.
Being a training and research centre open to society. EPSI requires collaboration of public and private institutions related to the field of integral prevention and safety.
